1.1 Below we describe the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data which refers to you personally; e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behaviour, etc.

1.3 In the event of you getting in contact with us via email or through a contact form, the data you supply (your email address, perhaps also your name and telephone number) is saved by us in order to be able to respond to your queries. We delete the data accumulated in these circumstances once there is no further need for it to be saved, or we limit its processing if statutory retention requirements exist.
The legal basis for the processing of data communicated within the course of sending an email is Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR. If the email contact is aimed at concluding a contract, then further legal basis for processing is provided by Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. b of the GDPR.
1.4 Should we need to call on commissioned service providers for certain functions of our content, or if we want to use your data for advertising purposes, we notify you of the relevant processes in detail below. In this regard, we also state the set criteria of the duration of retention.
1.5 If we require your consent for the processing of your data, we will seek this at the appropriate point. If you have not yet reached sixteen years of age at the time consent is granted, then consent must be granted by an individual with parental responsibility for the child or with their approval.

3.1 Cookies are stored on your computer when using our website. Cookies are small text files which are stored to your hard disk assigned to the browser you use and through which certain information flows to the entity placing the cookie (in this case: us). Cookies cannot execute any programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They are designed to make the Web content altogether more user-friendly and effective.
a) Session cookies. Session cookies store what is referred to as a session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to a common session. Consequently, your computer can be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out.
b) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the safety settings of your browser at any time.
c) You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and reject the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies if needs be. We should inform you that you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website, however.
4.1 If you want to use our portal, then you must register by providing your email address. We use what is referred to as the double-opt-in method for registration. In other words, your registration is only completed once you have confirmed your registration by clicking on a link contained in a confirmation email sent to you for this very purpose. If your confirmation is not received within 48 hours, your registration is automatically deleted from our database. Providing the data mentioned previously is obligatory. You can provide all other information voluntarily by using our portal.
4.2 When you use our portal, we save your data which is required for fulfilling the contract, even method of payment data, until you finally delete your access. The legal basis is laid out in Art. 6, Para 1 p. 1 lit. b) of the GDPR.
Furthermore, we save voluntary data specified by you for the duration of your use of the portal, provided you do not delete this beforehand. You can manage and modify all the details in the protected user area. The legal basis is laid out in Art. 6, Para 1 p. 1 lit. f of the GDPR.
4.3 When you use the portal, your data may be made accessible to other participants of the portal in line with contract execution (communication and application portal for musicians and orchestras). If you apply for an open vacancy as a musician, then we will pass your application on to the publicising orchestra directly. The orchestra decides to whom the application is passed within the orchestra and who performs the assessment of the application. If you publicise vacancies as an orchestra, we will publish your contact details in our portal for registered users. Unregistered users will not obtain any of your personal information.
4.4 In order to prevent unauthorised access to your personal data by third parties, especially financial data, the connection is encrypted via SSL.
5.1 As a registered user, you have the option of being able to learn about newly publicised vacancies via email. We obtain your consent for this under "Settings" in your password-protected user area. Here you can also set what kind of vacancies you want to be notified about.
5.2 Furthermore, you can also register for our general newsletter. This newsletter brings you all the latest information regarding our portal muv.ac. We obtain your consent for this under "Settings" in your password-protected user area.
5.3 You can revoke your consent to the sending of this newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can confirm your revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending a message to the contact details specified in the Imprint section.
5.4 The legal basis for sending newsletter is Art. 6, Para. 1 lit. a) of the GDPR.
Emails are sometimes sent through the transmission service provider Mailjet SAS – Politique de confidentialité, 13-13bis, Rue de l’Aubrac, 75012 Paris, France. You can find the data protection regulations of the transmission service provider here. The transmission service provider is used in line with our legitimate interests, as per Art. 6, Para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR and an order processing agreement as per Art. 28, Para. 3 p. 1 of the GDPR. The transmission service provider may use the data of the recipient in pseudonymised form – i.e. without attribution to a user – for the optimisation or improvement of their own services; e.g. for the technical optimisation of the transmission and the displaying of newsletters or for statistical purposes. The transmission service provider does not however use the data of our newsletter recipients to communicate with them itself or to pass the data on to third parties.
7.1 This website uses the Web analysis service Matomo in order to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. We can use the statistics derived to improve our content and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is laid out in Art. 6, Para 1 p. 1 lit. f of the GDPR.
7.2 To perform this evaluation, cookies are stored on your computer (see 3. for more details). The information gained in this way is saved by the controller solely on its server in Germany. You can change this evaluation by deleting available cookies and by preventing the storage of cookies. If you prevent the saving of cookies, we would like to point out that you may not be able to use this website to its fullest extent. The prevention of the saving of cookies is possible by changing the settings in your browser.

7.3 This website uses Matomo with the enhancement "AnonymizeIP". This processes IP addresses into an abbreviated form, thus ruling out direct personal attribution. The IP address communicated by your browser through Matomo is not combined with other data collected by us.

Zendesk will use your data exclusively for the processing of support queries in accordance with the aforementioned statements. This data is not passed on to third parties or used for other purposes.
